In the Street Necrology Of NYC, we'll try to tell you where all the streets, at least the ones that were here in the early 20th Century, have gone.

The Street Necrology is NOT meant to be a compendium of EVERY street in New York City that ever existed; that would be a near impossible task. We'll try, though, to mention every street that has been there from the late 1800s into the 20th Century, and a few from earlier.

Among other resources, I also have a 1946 Hagstrom map of New York City, as well as a 1915 Hammond atlas of the five boroughs. Among them, a picture emerges on how much the map of New York City has changed over the years...
